"I love to lie, basking in the sun, / Living in the desert sure is fun, / Climbing up cactus, avoiding a spike, / I'm the Beanie you're sure to like!" Born on February 9, 1999, Scaly is an upstanding reptile. Covered in a greenish gray fabric with golden-brown spots, Scaly has a red forked tongue and thread nostrils that are quite whimsical. But it's his pale green eyes with the oval-shaped pupils that make this lizard a standout. One of the last Beanie Babies produced before the December 1999 retirement, the highly collectible Scaly is hard to find and would make a great gift for a collector. Surface washable.

"Happy and cheerful, big hugs for all, smiling and laughing--life is a ball!" With his wild mane of reddish gold hair, pug nose, and plaid shorts, Chipper looks for all the world like an affable surfer dude (except that he lacks a tan). He's a 10-inch-tall, soft-stuffed Beanie who was born July 20, 1997. Beans in his bottom and limbs keep him from falling over when placed in an upright position and make him ideal for snuggling or a game of catch. Plush and pliable, his fingers, toes, and other features are embroidered--he even has an embroidered bellybutton! His merry blue eyes are so securely attached that the rest of him will probably wear out before they do. Chipper's red, blue, green, and yellow plaid shorts have a Velcro closure in the back so they can be easily restored when a big wave takes them out. If you're looking for a great bedtime buddy for a little one--or if you're just a Beaniac--Chipper's got big personality, and he's surface-washable as well.

The Walrus was/is Paul. Born on February 23, 1999, his poem reads:
Traveling the ocean in a submarine
Singing and playing a tambourine
One day hoping to lead a band
First he needs to find dry land!
You'll flip for this charming pinniped. Paul has a glossy brown nap coat that gives him a look of being wet--like he has just ambled out of the waves. His four flippers are also brown nap but have thread accents that give them a "real" look. His face has two shiny black eyes, a pink nose, a fuzzy mustache, and two cream fabric tusks. If you already own Ringo the raccoon you must have Paul the walrus. He's perfect for a girl or boy (or you). Surface washable only.

"Living alone in a haunted house, / Friend to the spider, bat and mouse, / Often heard, but never seen, / Waiting to wish you 'Happy Halloween!'" Sheets is Boo-tiful! Born on October 31, 1999, this unusual Beanie Baby has an all-white body with a shimmery white outer tunic. The face peers out from the hood--and what a face! Three black freeform velveteen pieces create the eyes and mouth, and the effect is otherworldly. One of the last Beanie Babies produced before the December 1999 retirement, this hard-to-find and very collectible Sheets would make a great gift for a collector. Surface washable.

You'll go bonkers for Bongo. This sweet little monkey was born August 17, 1995, and his poem reads:
Bongo the monkey lives in a tree
The happiest monkey you'll ever see
In his spare time he plays the guitar
One of these days he will be a big star!
Bongo is a Beanie Baby favorite. His brown body has a lighter brown tail, and his light brown hands, feet, ears, and nose give him a playful style. His black button eyes and thread nose complete his endearing look. Surface wash only.

Behold the king of the jungle. This majestic lion was born February 20, 1996. His poem reads:
Deep in the jungle they crowned him king
But being brave is not his thing
A cowardly lion some might say
He hears his roar and runs away!
Roary is light brown from the tip of his nose to the tuft on his tail. He has white under his chin and in his ears. His not-so-fierce eyes are gold with black centers, and his little nose is hard plastic with a beige velveteen finish. He's cute all over, but his fuzzy mane and tail tuft are what really catch your eye--and your heart. Surface wash only.

DOBY THE DOBERMAN
 

Doby is any man's (or woman's or child's) best friend. He was born October 9, 1996. His poem reads:

This dog is little but he has might
Keep him close when you sleep at night
He lies around with nothing to do
Until he sees it's time to protect you!

With his beautiful black and brown markings--black body, ears, tail, and face, with brown underbelly, paws, and eyebrows--Doby is one collectible, sought-after Beanie Baby. Lovely brown eyes, realistic black button nose, and thread mouth make up his engaging face. Surface wash only.

Scorch the Dragon was born July 31, 1998. His poem reads:
A magical mystery with glowing wings
Made by wizards and other things
Known to breathe fire with lots of smoke
Scorch is really a friendly bloke!
Scorch has the same body shape as his white counterpart Magic. His curly napped coat of brown, black, purple, and yellow has a smoky, tie-dyed appearance. He has green felt claws and spines, and his shiny red wings have a golden iridescence. With his black button eyes, red thread nostrils, and forked tongue, this little dragon is brimming with personality. Surface wash only.
